Melamine board VS MDF VS Particle board VS Veneered mdf

1. Melamine mdf board

melamine mdf board: abbreviated as triamine board, melamine board, full name is melamine impregnated adhesive film paper veneer artificial board.

It is made of paper with different colors or textures soaked in melamine resin adhesive, then dried to a certain degree of curing, and then spread on the surface of particleboard, moisture-proof board, medium density fiberboard or hard fiberboard, formed by hot pressing decorative plates. In the production process, 19mm melamine board is generally composed of several layers of paper, and the quantity depends on the purpose. colored melamine sheets can imitate various patterns arbitrarily, with bright color, and used as a veneer for various wood-based panels and woods. It has high hardness, abrasion resistance, good heat resistance, good chemical resistance, and can resist general acids, alkalis, greases and alcohol from solvents abrasion. The surface is smooth and clean, easy to maintain and clean.

Because textured melamine sheets has excellent properties that natural wood can't have, it is often used in interior architecture and the decoration of various furniture and cabinets.

The main specifications are: 2440*1220*9mm, 2440*1220*12mm, 2440*1220*15mm, 2440*1220*18mm

2. MDF

MDF is also called medium density board, also known as fiberboard. It is made by soaking wood, tree technology and other objects in water and then hot grinding, paving, and hot pressing. 15mm mdf is made of wood Fiber or other plant fibers are used as raw materials, and man-made boards made of urea-formaldehyde resin or other suitable adhesives are applied.

The advantages are: impact resistance, high strength, uniform density after pressing, and easy reprocessing. The disadvantages are poor water resistance, poor nail holding power, and heavy weight and difficult to plan. The density of low-density board is: less than 550 kg/m3; the density of medium and low-density board is: 550 kg-880 kg/m3; the density of high-density board: more than 880 kg/m3.

Its use is mainly used for laminate flooring, door panels, partitions, furniture, etc.

The density board is mainly used for the surface treatment of the oil mixing process in the home decoration. Common specifications are: 2440*1220*3mm, 2440*1220*5mm, 2440*1220*9mm, 2440*1220*12mm, 2440*1220*15mm, 2440*1220*18mm

3. Particle board

particle board: It is made of high-quality wood or small-diameter wood after being cut, dried, glued, and pressurized. The middle layer of the particle board is made of long wood fibers, and the two sides are densely organized wood fibers, which are pressed into a board by a large machine.

Particle board is divided into ordinary particle board and moisture proof particle board. Many of moisture-proof boards on the market are added with green industrial pigments, and the actual moisture-proof performance is very poor. So when inquiring, experts will ask whether they want fake moisture-proof particleboard or real moisture-proof particleboard.

Really moisture-proof particleboard is usually greenish, but some are white like ordinary particleboard and also have moisture-proof performance

Particleboard has good heat insulation and sound absorption performance, uniform structure; high density, rough edges, easy to absorb moisture, when making furniture, the exposed parts of the edge should be treated with corresponding edge sealing measures to prevent deformation; nail holding power is worse than wood, but better than medium Density board. Mainly used in the production of furniture and cabinets. The main specifications are: 2440*1220*12mm, 2440*1220*15mm, 2440*1220*18mm.

4. Decorative panel

decorative panel: Decorative decorative panel is a material made by cutting natural wood or man-made wood into slices of a certain thickness, adhering to the surface of plywood, and then hot pressing.

It is one of the main surface decoration materials in decoration, belonging to the plywood category. It is mainly divided into natural wood veneer and artificial veneer (also called technological wood veneer). It can be seen from the texture of the board surface: natural wood veneer looks natural in texture and pattern, with relatively large variability and no rules .

The artificial veneer seems to have a straight-through texture, or the pattern is particularly regular. Currently the more popular facing tree species are: cherry wood, (black) walnut, beech, maple, shadow wood, oak, ash, sapele, sandalwood, camphor wood, teak and so on. fancy plywood are widely used in surface decorations such as walls, columns, furniture, gateways, door leaves, door covers, etc. (In order to prevent surface pollution, it is best to apply a varnish before using it on the construction site).
